Abstract

BACKGROUND

Diabetic cardiomyopathy is considered as a chronic complication of diabetes mellitus (DM). Therefore, early detection of left ventricular systolic function (LVSF) damage in DM is essential.

AIM

To explore the use of the three-dimensional speckle tracking technique (3D-STI) for measuring LVSF in DM patients meta-analysis.

METHODS

The electronic databases were retrieved from the initial accessible time to 29 April 2023. The current study involved 9 studies, including 970 subjects. We carried out this meta-analysis to estimate myocardial function in DM compared with controls according to myocardial strain attained by 3D-STI.

RESULTS

Night articles including 970 subjects were included. No significant difference was detected in the left ventricular ejection fraction between the control and the diabetic group ( > 0.05), while differences in global longitudinal strain, global circumferential strain, global radial strain, and global area strain were markedly different between the controls and DM patients (all < 0.05).

CONCLUSION

The 3D-STI could be applied to accurately measure early LVSF damage in patients with DM.

检索电子数据库,检索时间从最初可获取时间至2023年4月29日。本研究纳入9项研究,共970名受试者。我们进行这项荟萃分析,以根据三维斑点追踪成像获得的心肌应变评估糖尿病患者与对照组相比的心肌功能。

结果

纳入9篇包含970名受试者的文章。对照组与糖尿病组之间的左心室射血分数无显著差异(>0.05),而对照组与糖尿病患者之间的整体纵向应变、整体圆周应变、整体径向应变和整体面积应变存在显著差异(均<0.05)。

结论

三维斑点追踪成像可用于准确测量糖尿病患者早期左心室收缩功能损害。
