Abstract

By means of scanning electron microscopy method, sensory formations of the membranous labyrinth has been studied in the frog (Rana temporaria). The form of sensory fields and morphological peculiarities of the hair cells are described. For the saccular macula, amphibian and basilar papillae, the number of the hair cells is calculated, orientation of the hair cell poles is demonstrated.
