Urinary diversion and undiversion.

Urinary diversion as a permanent mode of therapy in childhood is becoming uncommon. Indications for temporary diversion are also few, particularly since the advent of percutaneous placement of tubes for temporary diversion. In the same sense, techniques and principles applied to urinary undiversion that are outlined in this article are now used for primary reconstruction in patients who previously would have been diverted.
