Computed tomography (CT) is a useful imaging modality in a variety of liver diseases. The roles of radionuclide liver scanning, ultrasound and CT in liver disease are discussed and characteristic CT findings of cystic disease, trauma, abscess, primary and metastatic malignancy, fatty infiltration, hemochromatosis, and obstructive jaundice are illustrated.
