The role of microsurgery in the reconstruction of congenital deformities of the hand.

Microsurgical transfers are discussed for pterygium syndrome, congenital pseudarthrosis, aplasia cutis congenita, and transverse absence of the digits. Also reviewed are general considerations for the performance of microsurgical procedures in infants.
