A bacterial disease of Zinnia elegans (Compositae), caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. zinniae is recorded for the first time in Argentina. The identification of the causal organism was based on disease symptoms, pathogenicity and morphological and physiological characteristics of the cultures isolated from material collected at La Plata, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
由野油菜黄单胞菌百日菊致病变种引起的百日菊(菊科)细菌性病害首次在阿根廷被记录。致病有机体的鉴定基于病害症状、致病性以及从阿根廷布宜诺斯艾利斯省拉普拉塔采集的材料中分离出的培养物的形态和生理特征。
