Mediation effect of illness acceptance between perceived social support and self-management behaviors in rural elderly with coronary heart disease.

OBJECTIVE
To explore the relationship between perceived social support, acceptance of illness, and self-management behaviors and the mediating role of acceptance of illness in perceived social support and self-management behaviors.
METHODS
Between August 2022 and February 2023, 731 rural older adults with coronary heart disease in Feicheng City participated in this study. Correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between variables, and mediating effects were analyzed using AMOS 23.0 software.
RESULTS
Perceived social support and acceptance of illness were positively correlated with self-management behaviors. Acceptance of illness mediated the relationship between the perceived social support and the three dimensions of self-management behavior.
CONCLUSION
These findings contribute to the understanding that increased perceived social support and acceptance of illness are more likely to improve self-management behaviors.
目的
探讨感知社会支持、疾病接纳度与自我管理行为之间的关系，以及疾病接纳度在感知社会支持与自我管理行为之间的中介作用。
方法
2022年8月至2023年2月，肥城市731名农村冠心病老年患者参与本研究。采用相关性分析分析变量间关系，并用AMOS 23.0软件分析中介效应。
结果
感知社会支持和疾病接纳度与自我管理行为呈正相关。疾病接纳度在感知社会支持与自我管理行为的三个维度之间起中介作用。
结论
这些发现有助于理解，增加感知社会支持和疾病接纳度更有可能改善自我管理行为。
