Abstract

BACKGROUND

Rhamnolipids (RLS) are surfactants that improve the growth performance of poultry by improving the absorption of nutrients. This study aims to investigate the effects of RLS replacement of chlortetracycline (CTC) on growth performance, slaughtering traits, meat quality, antioxidant function and nuclear-factor-E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathway in broilers. A total of 600 one-day-old Arbor Acres chicks were randomly assigned to five groups with eight replicates in each group, raised for 42 days. Broilers were respectively fed a basal diet with no CTC or RLS, 75 mg kg CTC, and 250, 500, 1000 mg kg RLS.

RESULTS

Dietary supplementation with RLS linearly increased the average daily gain, average daily feed intake, carcass yield, eviscerated yield, ether extract, enhanced total superoxide and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activities, overexpressed the relative expressions of Nrf2, heme oxygenase 1, Copper/zinc superoxide dismutase, Manganese superoxide dismutase, GPx and catalase and decreased the lightness value at 24 h, drip loss and malondialdehyde contents of broilers (P < 0.05). Compared with the control group, broilers fed 1000 mg kg RLS reduced the drip loss and broilers fed 500 mg kg RLS increased muscle crude fat content (P < 0.05). Compared with the CTC group, dietary supplementation with 1000 mg kg RLS increased eviscerated yield (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSION

RLS could improve growth performance, crude fat content, meat quality and antioxidant capacity and activate relative expression of genes in the Nrf2 signaling pathway in broilers. It could be used as an antibiotic substitute in diets and the recommended supplemental dose of RLS in feed of broilers is 1000 mg kg. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry.

鼠李糖脂是一种表面活性剂,可通过改善营养物质的吸收来提高家禽的生长性能。本研究旨在探讨用鼠李糖脂替代金霉素对肉鸡生长性能、屠宰性状、肉质、抗氧化功能及核因子E2相关因子2(Nrf2)信号通路的影响。选取600只1日龄爱拔益加雏鸡,随机分为5组,每组8个重复,饲养42天。肉鸡分别饲喂不添加金霉素或鼠李糖脂的基础日粮、75mg/kg金霉素以及250、500、1000mg/kg鼠李糖脂。

结果

日粮中添加鼠李糖脂可使肉鸡的平均日增重、平均日采食量、胴体产率、半净膛产率、粗脂肪含量呈线性增加,总超氧化物和谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GPx)活性增强,Nrf2、血红素加氧酶1、铜/锌超氧化物歧化酶、锰超氧化物歧化酶、GPx和过氧化氢酶的相对表达量上调,且肉鸡24小时亮度值、滴水损失和丙二醛含量降低(P<0.05)。与对照组相比,饲喂1000mg/kg鼠李糖脂的肉鸡滴水损失降低,饲喂500mg/kg鼠李糖脂的肉鸡肌肉粗脂肪含量增加(P<0.05)。与金霉素组相比,日粮中添加1000mg/kg鼠李糖脂可提高半净膛产率(P<0.05)。

结论

鼠李糖脂可提高肉鸡的生长性能、粗脂肪含量、肉质和抗氧化能力,并激活Nrf2信号通路中相关基因的表达。它可作为日粮中的抗生素替代品,肉鸡饲料中鼠李糖脂的推荐添加剂量为1000mg/kg。©2024化学工业协会。
