Although five quantitative ultrasonic methods for assessment of liver size in children have been published, there is no account in the literature of experience over the full range of clinical material. This experience, however, is available from our material of 300 cases examined by a roentgenological method, giving a notion of the results to be obtained with a quantitative method in children.
