A review of 62 patients who underwent surgical treatment for xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis is presented. Polar resection was performed in 3 cases with localized disease, while the remaining 59 patients were treated by nephrectomy. Preoperative diagnosis is still tentative, but the recent advances in imaging techniques and urinary cytology will provide greater accuracy in the future.
本文报道了62例接受黄色肉芽肿性肾盂肾炎手术治疗的患者。3例局限性病变患者行肾部分切除术，其余59例患者行肾切除术。术前诊断仍为初步诊断，但影像学技术和尿细胞学的最新进展将在未来提供更高的准确性。
