A new leafhopper genus Sugea gen. nov. is described and illustrated here based on type species Sugea obtusangula sp. nov. from Yunnan Province, China, and placed in the tribe Dikraneurini (subfamily Typhlocybinae). Sugea is easily distinguishable from all other known dikraneurine genera based on the angulate face profile with a distinct submarginal furrow present along the anterior and lateral margins.
本文基于采自中国云南省的新种钝角苏叶蝉Sugea obtusangula sp. nov. 描述并图示了一个叶蝉新属——苏叶蝉属Sugea gen. nov.，并将其置于叉脉叶蝉族（片角叶蝉亚科）。苏叶蝉属与所有其他已知的叉脉叶蝉族属易于区分，其颜面轮廓呈角状，沿前缘和侧缘有一条明显的亚缘沟。
