Camptoplax ahmar sp. nov. is described based on a single male specimen extracted from a burrow of an unknown host near Thuwal, Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia. The new species differs from the type-species of Camptoplax Miers, 1884 and its only congener, C. coppingeri Miers, 1884, by several morphological / morphometric details.
新种红海弯颚蟹（Camptoplax ahmar sp. nov.）是根据从沙特阿拉伯红海海岸图瓦尔附近一个未知宿主洞穴中采集的单一雄性标本描述的。该新物种在几个形态学/形态测量学细节上与弯颚蟹属（Camptoplax）的模式种（1884年米尔描述）及其唯一同属物种（1884年米尔描述的科平格氏弯颚蟹（C. coppingeri））不同。
