Combined bronchoscopy and esophagoscopy using a flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope.

A method is described for the performance of combined bronchoscopy and esophagoscopy using a simple modification of the standard flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope. This technique allows safe, simple, and effective examination of the esophagus after the completion of bronchoscopy in patients in whom this examination is indicated.
