[Pseudomonas pickettii septicemia].

A case of bacteremia caused by Pseudomonas pickettii in an insulin dependent diabetic patient is reported, the portal of entry was unknown. After a failure of cefotaxime therapy whereas the strain was found susceptible by disk assay to this antibiotic, the patient became afebrile with doxycycline treatment. The bacteriological findings as well as the clinical problems are reported in the present paper.
