The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of different types of low level laser treatment (LLLT) in reducing pain levels, changing oxygen saturation and bite force in patients with myofacial pain syndrome (MPS). 45 patients were randomly assigned to three groups: Group 1 (GRR laser, n = 15) received LLLT with Gallium-Aluminium-Arsenide (GaAlAs) diode laser with a wavelength of 904 nm and red laser with a wavelength of 650 nm over masseter muscle region. Group 2 (Nd: YAG laser, n = 15) were treated with Neodymium-doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnet laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm and the same protocol with Nd: YAG laser was performed in the Group 3 (placebo, n = 15) using sham device. Pain was evaluated by visual analogue scale (VAS), change in oxygen concentration in the masseter muscle was measured by functional near-infrared spectroscopy- fNIRS and bite force was measured with Flexiforce sensors before and after treatment. There was a significant decrease in VAS scores after treatment in all three groups. When pain scores were compared, a greater reduction was seen in the Group 1 and Group 2. The change in oxygen saturation level was not statistically significant in all three groups (p > 0.05). Bite force values showed a significant decrease in treatment groups (p < 0.05), while there was no significant change in the placebo group (p > 0.05). Nd: YAG and GRR laser treatments were effective in reducing the pain caused by MPS and in reducing bite force values. 本研究的目的是比较不同类型的低强度激光治疗(LLLT)对肌筋膜疼痛综合征(MPS)患者降低疼痛程度、改变血氧饱和度和咬合力的效果。45名患者被随机分为三组:第1组(GRR激光组,n = 15)在咬肌区域接受波长为904nm的镓铝砷(GaAlAs)二极管激光和波长为650nm的红色激光的低强度激光治疗。第2组(Nd:YAG激光组,n = 15)接受波长为1064nm的掺钕钇铝石榴石激光治疗,第3组(安慰剂组,n = 15)使用假装置采用与Nd:YAG激光相同的方案进行治疗。通过视觉模拟量表(VAS)评估疼痛,使用功能近红外光谱技术(fNIRS)测量咬肌中的氧浓度变化,并在治疗前后使用Flexiforce传感器测量咬合力。三组治疗后VAS评分均显著降低。比较疼痛评分时,第1组和第2组的降低幅度更大。三组的血氧饱和度水平变化无统计学意义(p > 0.05)。治疗组的咬合力值显著降低(p < 0.05),而安慰剂组无显著变化(p > 0.05)。Nd:YAG激光和GRR激光治疗在减轻MPS引起的疼痛和降低咬合力值方面有效。临床上,GRR激光系统因其局部和实际应用提供了更有效的结果。ClinicalTrials.gov标识符:NCT06442553。
