Clearwing moth, , was first reported in 1931 in Korea, but its economic damage has been suddenly increasing with the climatic change. However, a prediction model for the adult occurrence of has not yet been developed. Thus, this study was aimed to develop a forecasting model for adult occurrence and to predict its future occurrence. The historical flight activity data of were fitted with the two-peaked Weibull function against its developmental degree-days with the lower developmental threshold, 4 °C, and the bio-fixed date, October 1 in the previous year. The developed model well predicted its historical emergence in field conditions. When the model was applied to climate change scenarios, it was expected that the future occurrence of could become earlier than the current. Thus, the results of this study should be helpful in managing populations.
透翅蛾于1931年首次在韩国被报道,但随着气候变化,其造成的经济损失突然增加。然而,尚未开发出透翅蛾成虫发生的预测模型。因此,本研究旨在开发成虫发生的预测模型并预测其未来发生情况。透翅蛾的历史飞行活动数据根据其发育积温,以发育下限温度4°C和生物固定日期(上一年10月1日),拟合双峰威布尔函数。所开发的模型很好地预测了其在田间条件下的历史羽化情况。当该模型应用于气候变化情景时,预计透翅蛾未来的发生时间可能会比当前更早。因此,本研究结果应有助于管理透翅蛾种群。
