The purpose of this meta-analysis of current studies was to assess the efficacy of electroacupuncture for cancer-related insomnia.
A comprehensive search was conducted encompassing randomized controlled trials examining the efficacy of electroacupuncture in treating cancer-related insomnia across CNKI, VIP, Wang Fang, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane library, and Web of Science, with a search deadline of December 26, 2023. The Cochrane manual's risk-of-bias evaluation was used for quality assessment, while Stata 15.0 was used for the data analysis.
Eight randomized controlled studies involving 537 individuals were finally included. Meta-analysis results suggested that electroacupuncture improved total sleep time [SMD = 0.68, 95% CI (0.31, 1.06)], sleep efficiency [SMD = 1.26, 95% CI (0.02, 2.50)], and reduced Pittsburgh sleep quality index [SMD = -0.44, 95% CI (-0.63, -0.25)], insomnia severity index [SMD = -1.23, 95% CI (-1.88, -0.58)], and sleep onset latency [SMD = -0.76, 95% CI (-1.36, -0.15)] in cancer patients.
Based on the current study, we found that electroacupuncture may have a better effect on insomnia in cancer patients.
本荟萃分析当前研究的目的是评估电针治疗癌症相关失眠的疗效。
进行了全面检索,纳入了在知网、维普、万方、PubMed、Embase、Cochrane图书馆和Web of Science上检索到的关于电针治疗癌症相关失眠疗效的随机对照试验,检索截止日期为2023年12月26日。采用Cochrane手册的偏倚风险评估进行质量评估,使用Stata 15.0进行数据分析。
最终纳入8项涉及537人的随机对照研究。荟萃分析结果表明,电针改善了癌症患者的总睡眠时间[标准化均数差(SMD)=0.68,95%可信区间(CI)(0.31,1.06)]、睡眠效率[SMD=1.26,95%CI(0.02,2.50)],并降低了匹兹堡睡眠质量指数[SMD=-0.44,95%CI(-0.63,-0.25)]、失眠严重程度指数[SMD=-1.23,95%CI(-1.88,-0.58)]和入睡潜伏期[SMD=-0.76,95%CI(-1.36,-0.15)]。
基于当前研究,我们发现电针可能对癌症患者的失眠有更好的疗效。
