Immunofluorescence enables detection of proteins in tissue and cell culture. The specific reaction between the complex antigen-antibody confers security to detection. Disclosure of proteins of interest by fluorochrome allows a perception of its spatial distribution and location. Here we describe the technique of indirect immunofluorescence for detection of E protein from yellow fever virus in paraffinized tissue and in cell cultures.
