Abstract

A monoclinic phase with chemical composition of MgRu, nona-magnesium diruthenium, was obtained through high-pressure sinter-ing of a mixture with an initial chemical composition of MgRuB. The MgRu phase crystallizes in the 2 space group with = 8 and is isotypic with the previously reported InIrMg and InIrMg phases.
