Fifteen cases of mycetoma were studied during a period of eight years (1976 to 1984) at Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria, Nigeria. The commonest aetiological agent seen was Nocardia; the actinomycotic mycetoma was more prevalent as compared to maduromycotic mycetoma.
