Abstract
The distribution of transferrin C subtypes was studied in the population of Jordan. The sample comprised 121 Bedouins and 382 other Jordanians from Amman. The frequency of TfC2 was found to be 0.26 among the Bedouins and 0.23 among the non-Bedouin population. TfD was present in low frequency (0.005) among both the Bedouin and non-Bedouin populations.
