Abstract

Hamstring tendon autograft remains a popular choice for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. It is crucial to pay attention to several technical steps to avoid anatomic or neurovascular damage and reduce the risk of premature graft amputation. We provide a step-by-step description of the hamstring autograft harvesting technique, using anatomic references and tips and tricks to simplify and standardize the procedure for surgeons, especially those in training.
