Nontyphoidal septic arthritis is an uncommon complication of NTS bacteremia in adults. A 75-year-old patient was admitted for right hip pain, presenting with manifestations of septic shock. Following a series of examinations, the patient was diagnosed with nontyphoidal septic hip arthritis. Treatment included antibiotics, debridement, and the implantation of a spacer. The patient recovered and was able to ambulate slowly with a cane. The patient ultimately opted for continued oral antibiotic therapy to avoid infection recurrence, rather than undergoing a two-stage total hip replacement, after achieving satisfactory activities of daily life.
非伤寒性败血症性关节炎是成人非伤寒沙门菌血症的一种罕见并发症。一名75岁患者因右髋疼痛入院，表现为感染性休克症状。经过一系列检查，该患者被诊断为非伤寒性败血症性髋关节炎。治疗包括使用抗生素、清创和植入间隔物。患者康复后能够拄着拐杖缓慢行走。在日常生活活动达到满意水平后，患者最终选择继续口服抗生素治疗以避免感染复发，而不是接受两阶段全髋关节置换术。
