Abstract

Facial nerve palsy (FNP) can be a highly distressing condition with sight-threatening sequelae. However, major advances in ophthalmic and oculoplastic management have been achieved in recent decades, guided by a better understanding of clinical manifestations and an ever-expanding armamentarium of surgical and nonsurgical therapies. Ophthalmologists should be aware of the contemporary approach to FNP, its periorbital complications, and the broad range of treatment options now available.

摘要

面神经麻痹（FNP）可能是一种极具痛苦的病症，伴有威胁视力的后遗症。然而，近几十年来，在对临床表现有了更深入了解以及手术和非手术治疗手段不断扩充的指导下，眼科和眼整形治疗取得了重大进展。眼科医生应了解FNP的现代治疗方法、其眶周并发症以及目前可用的广泛治疗选择。
