[Recent rupture of the patellar tendon. Apropos of 9 cases].

The authors report a series of nine fresh ruptures of the patellar tendon which occurred principally at its upper part. They were repaired by the Judet's technique protected with a circular nylon inserted around the superior pole of the patella or through the patella and through the tibial tuberosity. A transposition of the distal tendons of the semitendinosus and gracilis muscles was done with success in one case. The reeducation started early in the last cases.
