Abstract
The effect of various DNA-damaging agents on a Vibrio species was investigated. The organism was readily mutable by N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine and mitomycin C but not by UV light. No Weigle reactivation of UV-irradiated alpha 3a phage was detected. These results suggest that an error-prone repair mechanism is lacking in this species.

研究了各种DNA损伤剂对一种弧菌属细菌的影响。该生物体很容易被N-甲基-N'-硝基-N-亚硝基胍和丝裂霉素C诱变，但不能被紫外线诱变。未检测到紫外线照射的α 3a噬菌体的韦格勒复活现象。这些结果表明该物种缺乏易错修复机制。
