[Serious mistakes in hoof trimming of cattle by the layman].

Observations on the clinic showed a high frequency (round 20%) of toes in cattle, damaged by non-professional claw-trimming. Various types of mistakes are shown by examples and the severity of the subsequent diseases is emphasized. Increased instruction of qualified persons for the care of the claw could relief the problems.
