Abstract
Scheme of a proposed classification of hyperuricemia. A proposed scheme of hyperuricemia integrating renal uric acid handling. Renal underexcretion type can occur due to reduced glomerular filtration rate (glomerular under-filtration type) or increased reabsorption of urate in the renal tubules (tubular over-reabsorption type).
