Androgenetic alopecia has emerged as a significant medical and social concern. Current therapeutic options are limited, necessitating the exploration of more effective treatments. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of adipose derived stem cells nanovesicles (ADSC-NV) in treating androgenetic alopecia.
ADSC-NV presented as biconcave disc-shaped entities, with a mean diameter of 87.3 ± 36.5 nm. Nanovesicles significantly promoted the proliferation and migration of DPC, with a concentration of 60µg/mL demonstrating superior efficacy compared to 30 µg/mL. Besides, nanovesicles were found to slow the degeneration of hair follicles in androgenetic alopecia during in vitro culture. Intradermal injection of nanovesicles markedly enhanced hair regeneration in the dorsal skin of mice in vivo. Histological examination revealed that nanovesicles reversed hair follicle miniaturization and accelerated the transition of hair follicles from the telogen phase to the anagen phase. Notably, nanovesicles achieved an effect comparable to minoxidil, while also reducing sebum secretion.
This study demonstrated the therapeutic potential of ADSC-NV in treating androgenetic alopecia both in vitro and in vivo. This finding provides a promising therapeutic strategy for addressing androgenetic alopecia.
