Abstract

The title compound, CHNO (-TAP), was synthesized the reaction of 2-chloro--(-tol-yl)acetamide with pseudoephidrine. It crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system with a non-centrosymmetric chiral space group 2 (No. 4). The asymmetric unit comprises a single mol-ecule. The dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 89.20 (10)°. -TAP contains two chiral centers at the C7 and C8 positions, both with an absolute configuration of .
