Reactive arthritis (ReA) is a rare but debilitating symptom occurring after COVID-19 infection. Although there are numerous drugs available for treatment, people prefer not to have drug side effects and choose alternative therapies. Deep muscle stimulator (DMS) treated various types of arthritis, but this is the first case it has remedied ReA resulting from COVID-19 unresponsive to other treatments. The patient recovered to full range of motion and function of the knees in less than 3 days post-treatment. DMS has a theoretical method of action as therapeutic ultrasound, which may disperse the virus from around the joints and decrease inflammation.
