The beam deflection metasurface holds great potential in wireless communication, imaging, electromagnetic stealth, and wave manipulation due to its lightweight design, high efficiency, and flexibility. This work designs quasi-1-bit basic units with a phase difference of 180° by using air grid and proposes a mechanically adjustable beam deflection metasurface to achieve efficient beam deflection and polarization conversion. The reconfigurable design enables dynamic beam deflection from 0° to 60° by horizontal translation of the basic structure. The experimental results align well with the simulations, confirming the metasurface's performance and versatility. This work not only can avoid the electromagnetic interference caused by wiring and reduce the possibility of unexpected electromagnetic cracking/attacking, but also offers a flexible and cost-effective solution for advanced electromagnetic beam control.
