Reflection is a modern and innovative teaching approach. It is an effective method to increase the spiritual well-being of nursing students, improve their perception of spiritual care, teach the spiritual aspects of nursing and develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes. The aim of this study is to evaluate the spiritual care perceptions and spiritual well-being of undergraduate nursing students in Türkiye and to evaluate whether the use of reflective teaching method in spiritual care increases spiritual care perception and spiritual well-being.
This study was a randomized controlled trial conducted with 63 nursing students. They were assigned to an intervention group (n = 31) and a control group (n = 32). The intervention group received training in spiritual care and a reflection application, while the control group received no intervention. Data were collected as a result of pre-test, intervention and post-test. Personal Information Form, Spiritual Well-Being Scale, Spirituality and Spiritual Care Rating Scale and Form for Evaluating Students' Perceptions of Reflection Method were used to collect the data. Data were analyzed using descriptive and comparative statistical methods.
In the intervention group, the total score of the Spiritual Well-being Scale increased after the training, and the increase in the total score of the Spiritual Care Rating Scale after the training was statistically significant (p < 0.05). In addition, the Spiritual Care Rating Scale's posttest was found to be statistically significant between groups (p < 0.05).
Training nursing students in spiritual care using the reflection method has an impact on their spiritual well-being and perception of spiritual care. The reflection method is an effective method for spiritual care education.
反思是一种现代且创新的教学方法。它是提高护理专业学生精神健康水平、增强他们对精神护理的认知、传授护理工作中的精神层面内容以及培养他们的知识、技能和态度的有效方法。本研究的目的是评估土耳其本科护理专业学生的精神护理认知和精神健康状况,并评估在精神护理中使用反思性教学方法是否能提高精神护理认知和精神健康水平。
本研究是一项对63名护理专业学生进行的随机对照试验。他们被分为干预组(n = 31)和对照组(n = 32)。干预组接受精神护理培训和反思应用,而对照组不接受任何干预。通过预测试、干预和后测试收集数据。使用个人信息表、精神健康量表、精神性与精神护理评定量表以及学生对反思方法认知的评估表来收集数据。采用描述性和比较性统计方法对数据进行分析。
在干预组中,培训后精神健康量表的总分有所增加,培训后精神护理评定量表的总分增加具有统计学意义(p < 0.05)。此外,发现两组之间精神护理评定量表的后测试具有统计学意义(p < 0.05)。
使用反思方法对护理专业学生进行精神护理培训对他们的精神健康和精神护理认知有影响。反思方法是精神护理教育的有效方法。
