Abstract

PURPOSE

To evaluate the efficacy of minimally invasive particle implantation guided by different methods for head and neck malignancies based on propensity-matched score analysis.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

120 patients with head and neck malignant tumors treated in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected. The patients were matched by Propensity Score Matching (PSM) method at 1:1 and finally included in Computed Tomography (CT) guidance group (n = 60) and 3D print guide group (n = 60).

RESULTS

The pain in the 3D print guide group was significantly lower than that in the CT guidance group at 3 days and 7 days after operation (P < 0.05). Preoperative tumor diameter, postoperative metastasis, and tissue edema were similar. However, the 3D printing guide group had smaller tumor diameters and fewer recurrences (P < 0.05). The 3D printing guide group also showed better curative effects and lower incidence of adverse reactions compared to the CT guidance group (P < 0.05), indicating its superiority in treatment safety and efficacy.

CONCLUSION

Minimally invasive particle implantation guided by a 3D-printed guide plate is safer and more effective than CT-guided treatment for head and neck malignancies.

摘要

目的

基于倾向得分匹配分析,评估不同方法引导下的微创粒子植入术治疗头颈部恶性肿瘤的疗效。

材料与方法

选取2021年1月至2023年12月在我院接受治疗的120例头颈部恶性肿瘤患者。采用倾向得分匹配(PSM)方法按1:1对患者进行匹配,最终纳入计算机断层扫描(CT)引导组(n = 60)和3D打印引导组(n = 60)。

结果

3D打印引导组术后3天和7天的疼痛程度明显低于CT引导组(P < 0.05)。术前肿瘤直径、术后转移及组织水肿情况相似。然而,3D打印引导组的肿瘤直径更小,复发更少(P < 0.05)。与CT引导组相比,3D打印引导组的治疗效果更好,不良反应发生率更低(P < 0.05),表明其在治疗安全性和疗效方面具有优越性。

结论

对于头颈部恶性肿瘤,3D打印导板引导下的微创粒子植入术比CT引导治疗更安全、更有效。
