Cardiac output and peripheral flow resistance were determined rheocardiographically under resting conditions and in orthostasis in 175 patients who came for examination to clarify circulatory disturbances with suspected orthostatic dysregulation. The method was examined critically and compared with other procedures. Different modes of reaction in the cardiovascular system were portrayed and their importance for therapy is indicated.
