The last immature stage of the New World treehopper Funkhouser, 1930 is described for the first time. Detailed figures of the adult are also provided, as well as new records, data on its behavior, distribution for Costa Rica, and host plants. Its host plant, chayote, is an important food staple locally and also a U.S. import. Panama is a new country record for the species.
1930年，新世界角蝉（Funkhouser）的最后一个未成熟阶段首次得到描述。文中还提供了成虫的详细图片，以及新的记录、其行为数据、在哥斯达黎加的分布情况和寄主植物。其寄主植物佛手瓜是当地重要的主食，也是美国的进口商品。巴拿马是该物种的一个新的国家记录。
