Abstract

Experimental results and initial clinical experience indicates that even carcinoma in situ can be destroyed by integral photodynamic therapy of multifocal bladder carcinoma following tumor-selective photosensitization with a hematoporphyrin derivative. The employment of a light-scattering medium in combination with a special bladder catheter and photodynamically effective red laser light (630 nm) guarantees homogeneous irradiation of the bladder, which thus reaches all tumor foci. The complications observed were transitional dysurias and, in a particular case, regressive shrinkage of the bladder.

实验结果和初步临床经验表明,在用血卟啉衍生物进行肿瘤选择性光致敏后,通过多灶性膀胱癌的整体光动力疗法,原位癌甚至也可被破坏。使用光散射介质结合特殊的膀胱导管和光动力有效的红色激光(630纳米)可确保膀胱得到均匀照射,从而使所有肿瘤病灶都能受到照射。观察到的并发症为短暂性排尿困难,在一个特殊病例中,还出现了膀胱退行性萎缩。
