Fifty percent of all pregnant women are suffering from edema of the legs, one percent from phlebitis, and 0,14 percent from deep vein thrombosis. Usually, diagnosis is possible by non-invasive methods. In most cases, conservative therapy using elastic bandages is sufficient.
