This dataset focuses on N6-Methyladenosine (m6A) RNA methylation in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) without autoimmune thyroid disease (AITD). Emerging evidence suggests that m6A modification was associated with the occurrence and progression of both thyroid carcinoma and AITD. Given the substantial clinical overlap between thyroid carcinoma (particularly PTC) and AITD, rigorous exclusion of autoimmune confounding factors is essential to isolate the distinct role of m6A modifications in driving thyroid carcinogenesis and progression. Here, mRNA & lncRNA Epitranscriptomic Microarray technology was applied to investigate on the role of m6A-modification using thyroid tissue pairs of cancerous and para-cancerous from three patients of PTC without AITD enrolled from the First Affiliated Hospital, Fujian Medical University, Fuzhou, China. The data analysis involved normalization, quantification, and identification of differentially m6A-modified transcripts and mRNA expression. Subsequently, clustering and functional enrichment analyses (including Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG)) were conducted to gain an initial understanding of the biological significance of m6A modifications in PTC without AITD. This data set provides the m6A methylation profiles of PTC without AITD and allowed for the further study in this specific pathological context.
