Abstract
A case of multicomponent mesenchymoma of the mediastinum with a malignancy of its connective tissue component and recurrence 6 months after its removal is described. Protracted benign course of the tumour with subsequent development of a spindle cell sarcoma confirm the possibility of the malignancy of one of the tumour components.
