Epistaxis.

Epistaxis is a common clinical condition of varying severity that can present in both the outpatient and inpatient setting. This article provides an evidence-based, comprehensive review of the diagnosis and management of epistaxis for primary care providers. Particular focus is given to the diagnostic workup of this condition as well as a review of relevant anatomy and risk factors. Both conservative and advanced interventions are discussed, including when to refer to a ear, nose, and throat specialist.
