[Repeated operations in pancreatic cancer].

Twenty four reoperations were performed for cancer of the pancreas. The indications were as follows: gastroduodenal obstruction, recurrent jaundice, external biliary fistulas and uneffective primary operations. In 20 patients palliative measures were performed, which improved considerably the patents' state. Reoperations for pancreatic cancer seem to be rational only in the presence of the proper indications; however an adequate primary operation in some cases may render unnecessary such relaparotomies.
