Abstract
A case of idiopathic hypoparathyroidism and basal ganglia calcification with extrapyramidal motor and myopathic features is described. The extrapyramidal motor and myopathic features disappeared when normocalcaemia was restored with treatment, suggesting that they resulted from hypocalcaemia.
