The authors observed the described complication in 25 out of 350 children who had underwent and urgen resection of the small intestine (7.1%). 18 children died (72%). An analysis of the clinical picture of the anastomosis failure is set forth. The errors admitted at the repeated operation and treatment are discussed. Some practical recommendations are suggested.
