Abstract
Chimaeric mice formed by manipulation of early embryos have been constructed between strains which differ in H-2 and immunoglobulin allotype. Cells forming antibodies to SRBC have been scored for allotype and H-2. The majority of the nine chimaeras analysed show no apparent gene transfer but this is not true for two mice. Possible interpretations of these results are discussed.
