A list of all cases of tuberculosis (pulmonary tuberculosis, cavitating processes, destroyed lung) observed during 1977 was compared with a list of cases seen during the past 10 years. The incidence of cavitating tuberculosis among foreigners was 11%; men and women were involved in the ratio 68:32. The incidence of tuberculosis was related to oeconomic status and occupation. The source of infection were compared with those of 1955 and 1963. The age distribution for the severe and very severe types of tuberculosis, the stage at which the infection was first diagnosed and the incidence of relapses are reviewed. The results are tabulated.
