[Papillosphincterotomy of Oddi's sphincter (experience in 401 cases)].

The authors present a statistics covering 401 cases in whom sphincterotomy of the Oddi sphincter was performed, in most of them for treating stenosing inflammations (papillo-odditis). Indications of this method are analized, for the surgical treatment of hydatic cysts opening in the biliary pathways, and of cholestatic hepatitis. Considerations are made on the place of sphincterotomy in the treatment of the main biliary pathway and the results are analized obtained with this method, as well as re-interventions after sphincterotomy. Some conclusions can be made on the indications and the contraindications of the method in the surgery of the hepato-choledocus.
