123 patients suffering from axillary hyperhidrosis have been operated on as outpatients under local anaesthesia, with radical ablation of sweat glands. All except 7 patients were satisfied with the result. There were few complications. A group of patients and controls were extensively studied including quantitative sweat testing and axillary biopsis. Apart from increased axillary sweating during the test, no differences could be found. The basic etiology of the condition is still unknown.
123例腋臭患者在局部麻醉下作为门诊病人接受了手术，进行了汗腺根治性切除。除7例患者外，其他患者均对手术结果满意。并发症很少。对一组患者和对照组进行了广泛研究，包括定量汗液测试和腋窝活检。除了测试期间腋窝出汗增加外，未发现其他差异。该病的基本病因仍然不明。
