Abstract

The protective efficacy of an orally administered bovine protein-free parathyroid extract (PF-PTE) was studied on rat bone marrow cells in vivo with the mitotic index after 850 R irradiation. A remarkable decrease was found in the mitotic activity of bone marrow cells after irradiation in the non-protected animals. However, in the animals treated with PF-PTE after irradiation, a significantly smaller decrease and a faster recovery were found in the mitotic activity of the bone marrow cells.

摘要

采用850伦琴照射后有丝分裂指数,对口服无牛蛋白甲状旁腺提取物(PF-PTE)在体内对大鼠骨髓细胞的保护功效进行了研究。在未受保护的动物中,照射后骨髓细胞的有丝分裂活性显著下降。然而,在照射后用PF-PTE治疗的动物中,骨髓细胞的有丝分裂活性下降明显较小且恢复更快。
