[Indications for surgery in adrenocortical disease].

The surgical treatment of adrenocortical diseases indicated for hormone-secreting neoplasms and for definite cases of Cushing's disease. The surgical indication will be discussed. Since primary hyperaldosteronism caused by nodular hyperplasia of the adrenals needs a medical rather than a surgical treatment, a preoperative diagnosis and location of aldosterone producing adenomas has to be performed.
